Conduct Expected of ASC Fencers
ALL members of Auckland Swords Club are expected to abide by the code of conduct and our social media policy. A brief copy of the Code of Conduct is provided below.

- Always behave in a controlled manner, ie weapons pointing to the floor and not being waved about dangerously. There are spectators and people around and we must ensure it is a safe environment for all.
- Be a team player and active member of your club.
- Learn teamwork, sportsmanship and discipline.
- Learn the rules and play by them.
- Act in a safe manner at all times, i.e. no fencing without protective equipment. This means no shorts or tights.
- Fencers will obey all instructions of coaches, assistant coaches, and Club Managers regarding safety at all times.
- Fencers will report any incidents and/or injuries to the Club Managers immediately, so that these can be dealt with and recorded.
- Abide by the rules of the FIE/ FENZ.
- Respect your coach, fellow club members, your opponent, officials and spectators.
- Do not engage in any form of abusive behaviour toward any other person.
- Understand your rights to play in an environment free from harassment, and/or abuse in any form. Report any such incidents immediately.
- To assist with setting up and packing away boxes and pistes.
- To treat all club equipment with care.
- To report any damage and/or problems with equipment to the Club Managers and/or Club Armourer immediately.
- Members are required to pay their subscriptions by the due date, and in a timely fashion.
- Members will not bring the club into disrepute in any medium, either online or in print
- Members will not attempt to procure other members from other clubs, without the express consent of the executive.
